Gerald & Keisha Bolden

Gerald and Keisha Bolden have been married for 36 years. Gerald and Keisha are Marriage Counselors and Coaches with over 30 years of experience helping couples build stronger relationships.
Throughout their 36 years of marriage, Gerald and Keisha Bolden have come to understand that every relationship experiences both ebbs and flows. While they were prepared for the joyful moments and the times of harmony, they soon realized that
navigating the difficult periods would require a different kind of strength, ultimately
putting both their partnership and friendship to the test.


Their marriage faced significant challenges, including infidelity, pornography, physical
and emotional abuse. These hardships were compounded by serious health adversities,
such as cancer, which further tested their commitment to one another. Despite these
formidable obstacles, Gerald and Keisha demonstrated remarkable resilience. They
found ways to pick up the broken pieces of their relationship and work toward becoming
truly united as one.

Their ability to overcome adversity was deeply rooted in their faith, the support of close friends, and the unwavering encouragement of their family. These pillars enabled them to galvanize their marriage, rebuild trust, and emerge stronger together. Gerald and Keisha’s journey stands as a powerful example of how commitment, community, and spiritual grounding can transform even the most challenging circumstances into opportunities for renewed connection and growth. Mr. Gerald Bolden

Meet Gerald Bolden

Gerald E. Bolden is a dedicated professional with a career that encompasses over thirty years of service and commitment to helping others. Before entering the field of mental health and counseling, Gerald retired from the United States Navy Submarine Force, where he distinguished himself as a Chief Logistics Officer and served as a Naval Instructor for Submarine Force Atlantic for more than twenty-two years. His participation in two war operations, Operation Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom, and several other campaigns helped shape his leadership abilities and reinforced his dedication to service.

Counseling and Clinical Expertise

​

Following his retirement from the military, Gerald made a successful transition into mental health and counseling. He currently works as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Counselor, and Coach for a nonprofit organization. In this role, he provides guidance and support to individuals, couples, and families who are seeking to improve their relationships and emotional well-being. Gerald’s work reflects his enduring commitment to supporting others and fostering healthy connections within the community.

As the founder and owner of Enriched Living Counseling Services, established in 2015, Gerald has developed a reputation for excellence in the field of counseling. His clinical experience includes working as an MFT with organizations such as New Hope Leeward and Hoomalu Family Programs in Hawaii. He specializes in addressing complex and sensitive issues, including sexual assault, domestic violence, substance and sexual addiction, child abuse, family systems, and couples counseling. This breadth of expertise enables him to offer comprehensive support to clients facing a variety of challenges. Furthermore, his clinical therapy services are particularly beneficial for individuals working through trauma, providing a safe and supportive environment for healing.

Professional Partnerships and Ministry

​

In his personal life, Gerald has been happily married for 36 years to Keisha Bolden, a certified Relationship Coach and Counselor. Together, they form a dynamic team, teaching relationship classes, leading workshops, and offering couples counseling sessions. Their partnership reflects their shared commitment to promoting healthy and fulfilling relationships. Gerald and Keisha are also the proud parents of two children and five grandchildren, further grounding their work in strong family values.

Gerald is also a Licensed Christian Minister and served as the Director of Help Inspire My Mate Marriage Ministry (HIMM), along with his wife Keisha from 1996 to 2021. In this role, he played a vital part in guiding marriage ministry initiatives and supporting healthy relationships within the faith community. Gerald is also a sought-after speaker and educator, regularly presenting and teaching at seminars and workshops. Notably, he participated in relationship conferences and workshops and has contributed to numerous programs aimed at enhancing family relationships and personal growth.

Advanced Education and Community Involvement

​

Gerald is currently a Doctoral Degree candidate in a Clinical Counseling Psychology program. His commitment to advanced study in the field underscores his dedication to providing the highest-quality care in his counseling practice. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University. This qualification has equipped him with specialized skills and expertise for working with couples and families. In addition to his counseling credentials, Gerald obtained a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Central Michigan University. This degree provided him with a strong foundation in organizational leadership, personnel management, and effective communication. Gerald also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University. His undergraduate education established the groundwork for his later achievements in both the military and civilian sectors.

Demonstrating a deep passion for supporting men’s mental health, Gerald collaborates with Eagles Nest, an organization dedicated to creating a safe space where men can connect, share, and discuss life's challenges. This initiative underscores his commitment to fostering community and personal development among men. Outside of his professional, educational and ministry commitments, Gerald enjoys spending his leisure time indulging in his personal interests. He is an avid motorcycle enthusiast, with a special fondness for his “2002 Harley Davidson V-Rod,” and also enjoys relaxing with a few rounds of golf.

Meet Mrs. Keisha Bolden​

​

Keisha Bolden shares a remarkable lifelong bond with her husband, Gerald E. Bolden. Their connection began at the tender age of three, blossoming into a marriage that has endured for 36 years since they married in December 1991. Keisha finds her greatest joy in being a wife and best friend to Gerald, whom she partners with professionally, and is a devoted mother to their four children: Jeremiah and Che’Vaughn by birth, and Deyshaun and Bianca through marriage. She is also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Amari, Jedikiah, Kyng, MyaRae, and Nielle.​

 

A Foundation of Service and Experience

​

Keisha takes immense pride in her family's dedication to service. Her husband, Gerald, is a Licensed Minister of the Gospel and a proud Veteran who devoted 22 years to the United States Navy, supporting the nation through various wars. Their son, Jeremiah, followed in his father's footsteps by serving in the Navy, and their daughter, Che'Vaughn, is currently serving in the Army. For three decades, the Bolden family called Hawaii their home, embracing the local “Kamaaina” identity, before eventually relocating to Texas.

In partnership with her husband, Keisha co-founded Enriched Living Counseling Services, a counseling business that operated in Honolulu, HI from 2015 to 2021, focused on supporting and uplifting their community. After moving to Texas, they formed Enriched Living SA LLC, continuing the Relationship and Marriage business that provides Individual, Pre-Marital, Couples, and Family Counseling, along with speaking engagements at Marriage Retreats and Conferences with local churches.

 

Professional Credentials and Ministry

Keisha's expertise is supported by a robust educational background, including a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a minor in Liberal Arts, and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude in May 2010. She is a SYMBIS Certified Relationship Coach, Trainer, and Speaker. Alongside Rev. Gerald E. Bolden, she leads weekly relationship coaching sessions and hosts monthly Relationship TALK gatherings for couples in their home, reaching even more couples through Facebook Live and Zoom.

Her commitment to faith is central to her identity. Keisha was an active member of the City of Refuge Christian Church, where she was shepherded by the late Dr. Wayne E. Anderson. She has grown deeply in her faith and ministry work, co-directing the Help Inspire My Mate (HIMM) Marriage Ministry with Gerald, teaching Sunday school for the Relationship class, and serving over 20 years on the Board of the Women of Excellence Women's Ministry. Her extensive leadership experience includes serving as Youth Leader, Youth Ministry Director, Sunday School Teacher, Scholarship Chair, Women’s Entrepreneur Chair, Meditation Committee Member, and Director of HIMM from 1996 to 2021. She has been a proud member of AKA since 1984, inspiring youth, college students, and adults since 1988.

 

Resilience, Authorship, and Passion

​

Keisha’s life is a testament to profound resilience, as she is a two-time cancer survivor, having overcome Endometrial Cancer from 2018 to 2019 and again from 2021 to 2023. As of October 2025, she celebrates two years of being cancer-free. Her life’s passion is to minister to the whole person, striving to glorify God by helping believers fulfill their God-ordained vision, impacting homes, communities, and the nation more effectively. She is a frequent speaker at Women of Excellence ministry meetings, utilizing her faith, love for music, and devotion to women of faith.

She is also an Author of two books: On the Edge - A Compilation of 22 Stories of Triumph over Adversity [put link here to Amazon] and her own book, Losing A Mother - Questions For God (working on Amazon link). Keisha also hosts her 1st podcast, “On the Edge” [Add link here]. Keisha delights in spending quality time with family and friends, enjoying good food, watching movies, and reading inspiring books. Looking ahead, her dream is to complete a Doctoral degree in Religious Studies or Church Administration.
